Why Movember Matters?
For five years now, I have been participating in Movember. In case you don’t know, Movember – it’s an organization that co-opts the Month of November to promote awareness around Men’s Health issues.
For five years, I shave my beard on October 31st and grow the weakest mustache known to man. Like, seriously weak. There are pencil mustaches with more man-points than my feeble attempt at monthly growth.

I support Movember because I come from a family of cancer. My father is a survivor of both prostate and testicular cancer. My mom is a survivor of breast cancer. And so every year, I do what I can to help get the message out about the necessity to be proactive around finding these cancers early.
This year, like the last, in addition to collecting donations for Movember – I will also match donations (up to $1300) with a single donation to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
It’s the beginning of year five for me, and I’ve already collected and ensured donations of almost $5000 to Men’s Health and $2500 to Breast Cancer Research.
To support my Movember efforts – thank you, and here is my page where you can donate.
