Pent up – What to do with Irrational Feedback
We all need a way to deal with irrational feedback.
First, you need to determine if the feedback is, in fact, irrational. Sometimes the feedback we categorize as irrational is actually just feedback that is not positive.

If you actually do see the feedback as objectively as you can, and it’s irrational – you have to find ways to address it.
I love how a group of Creatives in Ireland formed Creative Catharsis to handle that kind of feedback. They created hilarious posters featuring some of the ridiculous client feedback they had received over time. Some of these will be familiar if you’ve ever been a Creative.

You’ll want to create an outlet for handling irrational elements when you implement them. Creative outlets, like the one in Ireland, will not solve irrationality, but they will keep you sane.
Remember that you are dealing with both the head and the heart whenever you are dealing with people. This kind of space gives a voice to the heart.
